A place which was once described as a dream project by the former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Gulawat Lotus Valley has been included in the new vision of tourism development for Madhya Pradesh by the Kamal Nath Government. A plan to clean up the premises of the lake and adding Shikaras to lure in the tourists has been chalked up. In addition to this, the Lotus Valley shall be dotted with attractive lights, and a skywalk over the lake shall be built. Finally, as the epicenter of the entire scenic valley, a roof-top restaurant will be built. The entire project will provide employment to a number of people and shall be a glowing opportunity to bring in revenue through tourism. Five villages surrounding the Gulawat Lotus Valley, including the village of Gulawat itself are to be made as floral villages, further enhancing the charm of the place.
