Overview
Originally known as the King Edward Hall, The Mahatma Gandhi Town Hall is one of the most spectacular structures in the city. With a unique Indo-Gothic style of architecture, the hall has domes and minarets which are made from white and red sandstone. The magnificent Clock Tower is a remarkable feature of the town hall. A major hub for cultural and art exhibitions, the central hall can accommodate 2,000 people. The building is lit-up in the colours of the tricolour on three national festivals. The complex also houses a temple, children’s park and a library. A must visit if you take a trip to Indore.
