As Indore continues to expand rapidly in terms of population and urban development, the Madhya Pradesh Police has initiated preparations for a significant restructuring of police station jurisdictions across the city.
According to the proposal, 34 colonies currently under Lasudia Police Station will be brought under the jurisdiction of the proposed Mahalaxmi Nagar Police Station. Similarly, 27 colonies from Banganga Police Station are set to be shifted to the proposed Super Corridor Police Station, while 24 colonies from Chandan Nagar Police Station may be included under the jurisdiction of the proposed Dhar Road Police Station.
The reorganization is aimed at strengthening law and order management in newly developed and densely populated areas. With police stations covering smaller and more focused jurisdictions, authorities expect to improve response times, enhance patrolling efficiency, and ensure faster delivery of police services to citizens.
As Indore’s residential and commercial footprint continues to grow beyond its traditional boundaries, the proposed changes are being viewed as an important step toward creating a more responsive and future-ready policing system.
Residents of the affected colonies are advised to stay informed about the proposed changes, as they may impact future police-related services, complaint registrations, and emergency response procedures.
