How will AICTSL Spread the Public Transport Network in Indore?
The AICTSL, Atal Indore City Transport Service Limited has surely worked a lot in the past few years to interconnect Indore in the best way possible. The city is spread in over 500sq. km of land with a population of around 40 lakhs and this number is only increasing with every passing day. The AICTSL swooped in just when Indore needed a proper transportation system the most. If our city has become the most developed city in the state, a lot of credit goes to AICTSL.
With every passing day, Indore is developing into a better city in every sense which has led to many issues growing too. It is not our city has not recognized the problems. The authorities are working day and night to make Indore a sustainable place to live and this is probably the reason AICTSL has stepped forward too. But what is AICTSL doing and how? Buses Will Run with CNG Gas
Keeping in mind the increasing need for public transport in the city as well as the increasing pollution in the world, AICTSL has decided to run buses with CNG gas. Bio CNG gas for this purpose will come from Asia’s biggest CNG plant that has been installed in the city recently. This initiative will help reduce pollution in the city and make the transportation system more sustainable for the authority as well as for the public. At present, 30 buses will be operated this way on BRTS and the number will be gradually increased in the future. Moreover, Indore has 40 electric buses to operate at present. Indore is also a part of the AmritYojana which will soon be implemented in the city. Under this Yojana, our city will be getting 400 buses to run with bio CNG gas. Out of the total, the city has already received 56 buses for Phase 2 of the project.

Buses of AICTSL are not only getting ready to become sustainable for the environment but are also one of the most advanced public transport. These buses have proper and active CCTV cameras installed which help monitor the interior 24/7. These buses are tracked live through the TMC. Special passes for these city buses are also available for senior citizens and students at a very reasonable rate. This makes AICTSL’s buses affordable for every class of society too. Shortly, more routes will also be added throughout the city for better connectivity and transport. AICTSL is working together with the authority towards making the city a better place to live for everyone. But this initiative will require the support of citizens too.
