Life Post COVID 19 - Indore Talk copy

For Graduates and the Working Class:

The government of our country has taken bold steps to save millions of life from the possibility of an infection but of course this has inadvertently placed a greater threat to livelihood all through the country. All those who are graduating this year might face some problems in finding jobs in the working sector because companies are facing loss in revenue. The ministry has advised all major conglomerates to avoid sacking people, this would automatically mean no new hires. So it is suggested that all the graduates either accept what job offers they get for the moment or choose to freelance in their respective fields.

Working class on the other hand is strongly advised to stay where they are. Switching jobs might not be a safe option for the time being, keeping in mind the serious shortage of employment in the work field.

For Students:

Students won’t get it easy after the lockdown ends. While all those who had missed CBSE, ICSE or Local Board Exams are likely to be postponed. The beginning of the new session might be fairly delayed. Colleges might take rushed entrance exams and the semesters might be cut short. Despite all this, not more than a few months shall the students be affected, after which things will gradually take momentum and be back on track. Students are advised to keep up with their respective curriculum from their homes to gain an easy transition into the new academic year. Colleges that couldn’t take semester exams might likely take it on a later date so students should be prepared to appear for exams on a short notice.

For Business class:

While market trends might be slow in the coming year, there are a few opportunities that might give India a leeway in its economy, given that the government takes a step back from the socialist mindset. According to Economic times, “there are several opportunities arising for India from the corona crisis. Low crude oil prices have saved billions of dollars for the nation. The government can take advantage of the fiscal leeway with little risk of inflationary pressure. Post corona, India can attract huge foreign capital for big bang divestment, as investors and global multinationals would look for alternatives to China.” Apart from this, Businesses would avoid making big investments and might have to cut off from the workforce or even face a shut down.

For Society:

The Society won’t be the same after the COVID-19 scare passes off. Even now, the COVID-19 survivors are treated unfairly amongst family and neighbors, facing a social boycott and creating additional problems for them to lead a normal life. Recovered patients and their family are finding it difficult to sustain normally in the wake of suspicion. After the crisis, people might be wary of any possible instance of remaining threats of the virus, causing widespread self isolation and avoidance of mass social gatherings. All those who were tested positive might take a lot of time to be normally accepted by the society and experience a positive change in behavior from family and relatives.

Psychological instability:

With a pandemic comes a lot of major psychological issues, brewed with months of social isolation and anxiety, panic and stress. Disruption of the daily life patterns and a major trauma for all those who are either infected from the virus or had a close relative or friends go through it. Another major problem would be PTSD, even after the virus would leave us, it would traumatize people for years to come, disrupting their mental stability and inner peace.  Anxiety and fear piped up by the abundance of news and media coverage regarding the pandemic and the disruption it has caused, wariness to interact in a social setting surrounded by people and social anxiety are amongst the top problems people might face. Awareness towards the problem and necessary steps to work for its resolution shall be necessary once the threat has surpassed.

We at Indore Talk have initiated social distancing by practicing work from home and support the government and all the authorities in their endeavor to fight this pandemic in the country. We urge all our viewers and followers to not panic and stay positive and kind to all those who are battling with this virus, stay aware and safe and assist the authorities in any way you can to prevent further spreading of this virus.
