Services

Nursing Services

Nursing Service is one of the largest divisions of Choithram Hospital and Research Centre that employs over 300 nursing personnel. It comprises of the Inpatient & Outpatient Units, Operating Rooms, Critical Care Units and Peripheral units of the Hospital.

Emergency Services

Our Emergency Services division specialises in acute care of patients who present themselves without prior appointment. Due to the unplanned nature of patient’s attendance, the department must provide initial treatment for a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which may be life threatening and require immediate attention. It requires different equipment and different approaches than most other hospital divisions. Patients frequently arrive with unstable conditions, so must be treated quickly.

Choithram Hospital and Research Centre has 4 ambulances , 24hrs medical shop, dressing and observation rooms to cater to Emergency cases.

Choithram Hospital and Research Centre’s emergency services are equipped to:

• • • Provide first aid and emergency medicine in cases such as accidents, burn cases etc
    • Save lives by providing effective treatment 24/7
    • Receive all patients irrespective of age, cast, sex, religion or status
    • Admit the patient in the suitable ward as per condition of the patient
    • Provide emergency medical care & make the patients safe to be transferred to another ward or hospital if the required medical services are unavailable.
    • MLC cases, brought-in-dead cases & mass casualties as per hospital protocols.

Out-Patient Services

• • The Outpatient Services at Choithram Hospital and Research Centre covers all the major clinical departments for consultation with specialist doctors daily between 9:00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M at nominal registration charges as applicable for documentation. Specialist doctors are also available from 1 P.M.to 8 P.M  for regular paid consultation as per the time schedule.  All new patients must register at the registration counter on arrival for consultation and deposit registration fees as applicable.

In-Patient Services

• • Choithram Hospital & Research Centre’s Inpatient services caters to all the registered patients with the medical departments 24/7.  CHRC has 350 beds, which are divided into General, Semiprivate, Private, Deluxe, Super Deluxe Wards and Special suites. All the wards and rooms are equipped with state of the art medical furniture and equipments.  We have 8 operation theatres that work round the clock.

Intensive Care Services

• • The  Intensive Care Unit at CHRC is a 21 bedded tertiary care ICU with 4 isolation beds, and an additional 8 bedded dedicated ICU for cardiac patients. The ICU is ventilated and well-lit with a dedicated central air conditioning unit.  It is a state-of-the-art ICU equipped with Ventilators – invasive and non-invasive, Multipara monitors – with both invasive and non-invasive modulation of monitoring, Bed side endoscopic and other GI procedures and dialysis, Defibrillators , ABG machines, ECG machines, IABP machine, Temporary pacemakers, DVT pumps, Nebulizers, ICU dialysis machine, Bed side X-Ray machine and Bed side USG with Echo machine.
