Personal Safety and Cleanliness
People who will go to offices have to take their personal care as well. Frequent use of hand sanitizers, sanitizing their personal desks, maintaining social distance are all tasks that the individual has to take care for their own protection.
Air Conditioned Workplace to be Avoided
Air Conditioned workplaces are although the norm for all big or small offices, still enclosed spaces within the office shall be avoided to be under air conditioners. Explaining why it is a problem to use Air Conditioners at this time, Dr Vivek Nangia, Pulmonologist, Fortis Hospital said, “The problem with central air conditioners is that at the particular moment, this environment is risky and what happens is that in one room people are breathing in the same air, so if one person is infected, chances of others getting the infection are high as everyone is inhaling the same air.”
Personalized devices
Devices like laptops, computers, notepads, pens, etc. are to be kept personal, try to avoid sharing them with other people in your workplace, and make sure to sanitize these devices regularly.
Awareness
It is important for the office authorities to spread awareness amongst employees regarding the safety measures that are to be taken while in the workplace and also outside of it.
Health History
It is essential to keep a record of the health history of all the employees and to ensure that no one who has a chance to be infected should enter the workplace. There are chances that people might be infected without showing any outward symptoms hence a record of their health history is important.
