Pithampur Sector 7 MPIDC

Indore’s position as Madhya Pradesh’s industrial powerhouse continues to strengthen with a major boost to the Pithampur industrial belt. The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has allotted land to seven new industrial units in Pithampur Sector-7, bringing an investment commitment of ₹1,911 crore and the potential to generate 1,797 new jobs.

The new industries span key sectors including metal processing, furniture manufacturing, food processing, BOPP films, textiles, and FIBC packaging, reflecting the state’s strategy of building a diversified manufacturing ecosystem. Among the biggest investments is Toppan Specialty Films, a Japanese company that will invest ₹950 crore and create 332 employment opportunities. The investment is a significant outcome of the Madhya Pradesh government’s efforts to attract foreign direct investment through international partnerships.

With these new allocations, 24 industrial units have now been allotted land across 279.48 hectares in Pithampur Sector-7. Together, they represent a cumulative proposed investment of ₹10,606 crore, transforming the region into one of Central India’s fastest-growing industrial destinations.

Beyond large-scale industries, the development is expected to create new opportunities for MSMEs, suppliers, logistics companies, engineering firms, and service providers. As anchor industries establish operations, a strong ancillary ecosystem is likely to emerge, benefiting local entrepreneurs and businesses across Indore.

Pithampur Sector-7 is being developed as an Integrated Smart Industrial Township, combining world-class industrial infrastructure with residential and commercial facilities. Infrastructure development worth ₹457 crore is already underway, including roads, water supply, electricity, drainage, and other essential utilities, while construction by several allotted industries has also begun.

For Indore’s business community, this development signals more than just new factories—it reflects growing investor confidence, stronger manufacturing capabilities, and expanding employment opportunities. As industrial infrastructure and private investment progress together, Pithampur is steadily reinforcing its reputation as the manufacturing engine of Madhya Pradesh and a key contributor to India’s industrial growth story.
