Remembering Brave heart Chandrasekhar Azad on his birth Anniversary and recalling his contribution for the freedom!
We should be thankful and grateful to all those who choose to sacrifice their lives for us to breathe in the fresh and free air of Independent India. The blog will become never-ending if we were to mention the names of all such real-life heroes but at least we should not let their memories fade away with time. Remembering Chandrashekhar Azad on his birth anniversary, here is all about the significant contributions he had made for us.
Chandrashekhar Azad was born in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh in 1906. His mother wanted him to be a scholar of Sanskrit language due to which he was sent to Banaras of that time. Well, he was the one who laid the foundations of the Republican of India, he performed actions that made Anglos fearful, he along with Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev rioted against deadly British forces to make them tampered and weak area wise. They also react to what wrong the cruel Britishers does to us, like the Jallianwala Bagh massacre (13 April 1919), who saddened young Azad so deeply that he joined Mahatma Gandhi’s Non-Cooperation Movement. At that time, he was not even completed 15 years of age. He was definitely a born warrior.
One exemplary reaction that showcased the born leader in him was when he was arrested for rioting in Non-Cooperation movement and when asked his name by the judge – Replied “Azad”, the judge got anxious and asked his father’s name, to which young Azad replied “Swatantrata”, it made the judge so frightened that he ordered to scold him with hunter(whiplashing) 15 times, every time he shouted “Vande Maatram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai”. It was a tight slap to the British court.
In 1925 – looted train with the help of another revolutionary Ramprasad Bismil loaded with British Royal Treasures in Kakori district near Lucknow, U.P. After which he hided camouflaging and later came to Delhi, where he formed Hindustan Socialist Republican Association and also started to manufacture arms and bombs in Agra and other parts of India as well.
In 1927-28 India was burning and rioting against the Simon statutory Commission who comprised of seven parliamentary members who were to control the provinces of British India, in which another senior revolutionary warrior; Lala Lajpat Rai got martyred while protesting by the strict lathi charge of British Superintendent C.J Saunders in Lahore. Which sparked the fire of vigilance and revenge in Azad and forces to take strict action against Saunders so that no any such happening occurs in the nearby future, he said “If yet your blood does not rage, it is water that flows in your veins. For what is the flush of youth, if it is not of service to the Motherland” he wisely planned the execution of Saunders along with Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev as well.
Bhagat Singh along with Batukeshwar Dutt, on the other hand, bombed British Assembly Parliament with gas bomb on 8th April 1929, in which many British officials were injured, he said “if the deaf are to hear, the sound has to be very loud.” the bomb was no doubt made of Azad’s bomb factory. For which Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were caught sentenced to death on 23rd march 1931.
Azad was deeply saddened by the hanging of his teammates and such great warriors, then he made his mind that he will never let the Britishers hang him on any cost. But a coward traitor informed the British Forces about Azad’s hideout of Allahabad of that time, where the forces surrounded Azad in a park that is known as Chandrashekhar Azad park today, he fought the forces with his pistol till the very end for almost an hour but when he had only one bullet left, he shot himself and martyred for the sake of pride and success, the British failed to catch him and punish him. He martyred that day aging only 24 years old, dated 27 February 1931.
It is suggested for everyone to visit that park at least once in a lifetime and preach that earth that had seen him die. “So this was the journey of a fearless son of Mother India, the son who sacrificed his life for the freedom and pride of his motherland and his countrymen.”
Now just for a second, tend to think that what we are giving them in return, are we living the way they wanted us to live, are we grateful to them in the way we should be, did they sacrificed their life to see such corruption, poverty, and various form of biases in the Country, they wanted us all to be educated and caring towards countrymen, they all wanted us to live with brotherhood, but just find sometime from the busy schedule and observe that are we the ideal one for whom those brave hearts sacrificed their life, do figure it out and if you find something bad about yourself, you are smart enough to correct it over, do help the country in the best possible manner while shaping it, be the change, witness the change.
“Don’t see others doing better than you, beat your own records every day because success is a fight between you and yourself.”
We are not asking much to you, just follow the rules and regulations, do help others, get educated and become intellectual, be social to others in real life as well, believe in brotherhood, respect females, don’t find differences, instead look for similarities, take charge and let us shape a good country for our upcoming generation to live in.
Azad used to say” I believe in a religion that propagates freedom, equality, and brotherhood.”
“Everyone is equally responsible for all the bad and good happenings in the country, wake up, take charge if you don’t like bad stuff happening around, protest, don’t tolerate wrong people and ideologies, fight and bring change, as only you can do it, no one else, spread love and care towards mother nature”
“So this was the journey of Chandrashekhar Tiwari becoming Chandrashekhar Azad”. We respect remember and salute you, Azad, please accept our deepest condolences, wherever you are shinning as a star in the sky of freedom.
