The important features of the report are as follows:

1. The recommendations have been provided at three levels—operational, i.e. (short term), tactical (medium term) and strategic (long term) in five dimensions. These five dimensions (5E’s) are :

  • Education

4. Fly-overs on important crossings like (White church, Geeta Bhavan, Rau circle, Bhavarkuan, etc.) were recommended. Elevated paths in congested areas were also suggested.

5. Suggestion for extended left turns at important crossings to avoid blocking of left turns.

6. One-way movement from signals to service roads is required to avoid collision (use of one-way spikes to stop people coming from another side)

7. Integrated Traffic Management and Monitoring System with Red Light Violation Detection (RLVD) and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems in all Category “A” signals are required.
