IIM Indore ‘Triple Crowned’ 2nd IIM in the country to receive Triple Accreditation.

A proud moment for the city of Indore came to light on December 10, 2019, with IIM Indore being awarded EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) Accreditation by EFMD the globally recognized international organization for management development, and hence successfully becoming the second IIM of India, after IIM Calcutta, to receive three accreditations from three renowned institutional accreditation systems. With achieving this major milestone, Indore is once again proving to be ahead of others in the field of education. As of March 2019, the ‘Triple Crown’ was received by only 90 business schools globally, out of the 13,000+ schools offering business degree programs.

The three accreditations received by IIM Indore are Association of MBAs (AMBA, UK) received first in 2016 for five years and renewed in November 2019; The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB, USA) received in January 2019; and finally EQUIS, European Union. This combination of accreditations is held by less than one percent of business schools in the world, granted by the largest and most influential business school accreditation agencies.

Established in 1996, IIM Indore has completed 23 glorious years and has achieved multiple milestones, and proudly stands at NIRF Rank 5 in the year 2019. The institute has also bagged a rank in the top 100 FT Rankings 2019 and has been placed in the 101+ bands in the World QS Rankings 2019 for Indian Business Schools. This major feat shall be effective in breaking the stereotypes regarding the Indian Education system, attracting potential students, professors and recruitment companies from all over the globe.

About the Three Accreditations:

• The first accreditation was received from the Association of MBAs, a UK-based accreditation agency, for four of its full-time programs. Two year PG program in Management, One-year full-time executive PG program in Management and 5 years integrated the program in Management.
• The second prestigious accreditation was received from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB) in January 2019. The AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the largest business education network that connects students, educators, and businesses worldwide. Today, 831 institutions across 54 countries and territories maintain AACSB accreditation.
• EQUIS accreditation is the most comprehensive institutional accreditation system for business and management schools. It is acknowledged worldwide by potential students, faculty, employers, corporate clients, and the media; often a pre-requisite for entry into the ranking system.EQUIS covers all the activities of a school, including degree and non-degree programs, knowledge generation and contribution to the community. Currently, there are just 40 schools in Asia that have received the EQUIS accreditation.

The EQUIS accreditation and the triple crown will make us a favored destination for schools across the globe.”This new status will now lead IIM Indore to invest in new courses and programs, gearing up for an increasing number of exchange programs to make sure that students, faculty members, and participants receive maximum global exposure for research and learning.

It is to note that since the 23 years of its inception IIM Indore has never seen any cases of suicide, upholding the fact that the institute provides a healthy and positive environment to learn and grow. In the process of growth, IIM Indore devised various innovative programs and ideas further helping it towards reaching a high stature. The Institute won the Association of MBAs (AMBA) Business Excellence Award 2019 in the category of Business School Impact on Community and Society on February 01, 2019, for its Rural Engagement Programme (REP), which is focused to help the participants learn leadership, decision making, and team-work in real-life situations. IIM Indore also received a certificate of commendation for the Himalayan Outbound Programme under the MBA Innovation category.

IIM Indore has also enthusiastically contributed to the society and nation as a whole through various programs and ideas. From protecting the environment by conducting tree plantation drives and making the campus plastic-free, to contributing to the improvement of the traffic system along with the Madhya Pradesh Government in the city and creating a water reservation development plan, the institute has and will always be hands-on in bringing about meaningful changes.
