What MP has to offer tourists?

Long back, Madhya Pradesh was known as the Tiger State of the nation, as our MP has 6 big and dedicated tiger reserves, along with 9 large national parks, and 25 huge wildlife sanctuaries, overall; MP has 95,221 km2 of forest area, out of which 10,862km2 is protected. MP holds very large and intense biodiversity along with ample no. of tourists as well. Kanha Tiger reserves alone hold approx. 60 tigers, after which Bandhavgarh Tiger reserves has approx. 50 tigers, which is a huge no. After which Pench, Panna, Sanjay–Dubri and Satpura Tiger reserves are too beautiful to see, no doubt.

Why and how MP got defamed being the Tiger state of India?

But, somewhere in past, MP’s has sacrificed that status losing some of its precious and glorious tigers, due to increased hunting to sue smuggling and trafficking of Tiger’s skin and teeth, for various reasons like medicinal, jewellery making and many more. But now MP has regained the status with more pride.

How MP and Tigers together fought with evils?

It was not that easy as it seems, to get this status back, Forest and tourism department deployed no. of Forest rangers and experts, for both care and analysis, strict laws have been imposed and a proper check was kept on the no. of tigers. Bordering was enhanced to prohibit hunting and escaping.

Good governance, approved by Tigers as well

On the social level, the country has supported Tiger habitat by running various ground-level campaigns and media broadcasting, which is definitely an appreciable move. The no. to be exact is 2967, the report is of 2018, presented by respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of International Tiger’s day. After which Russia is the second-largest country in terms of having Tigers, Russia is home to 433 Tigers. See the difference.

Feel proud, our India is home to the most tigers in the world

India achieved the mark to double the no. of tigers 4 years earlier, which was set to 2022 in the international convention held 9 years ago in St. Petersburg, Russia. India achieved this under the strong and determined leadership of PM Modi, who took the clear decision of enhancing the no. of protected regions which were 692 in 2014(when his government came) to 860 till 2018.

No. of community reserves is also increased from 43 in 2014 to 100+ till 2018.

What PM Modi said?

While presenting the All India Tiger Estimation Report-2018, PM Modi said, “Today, we prove our commitment of Tiger safety, we are the largest and safest habitats for tigers with 3000 tigers approx. we should also understand the importance of co-existence and harmony with Tigers”.

“So now it can be said that we are moving forward to welcome next-generation infrastructure along without compromising our sustained Forest regions.”

“Call of the Wild”

“Not everyone is that lucky to live in Madhya Pradesh, having 6 tiger reserves and a huge flora and fauna”, So it is suggested to everyone that do plan a visit to the nearby tiger reserve and experience the thrill of a brief meeting with “The Royale Hunter”. You would be able to tell everyone the story that “Once I came so near to the Nature that I dared to meet a Tiger” and everyone will find it impressive.

Madhya Pradesh calls you, the Wild calls you…
