The aim of this program is to help get underperforming CBSE schools to be at par with the lead schools. The board has already divided city-based schools into groups of 5 which will be mentored by a lead school and principals of these clusters will meet on a monthly basis. In case, a school says that they don’t have a particular subject teacher, the lead school can help them provide with the teacher, however, it can be via skype calls or video calls. School principals will have to be constantly in touch via WhatsApp group to discuss issues and share best practices among themselves. There will be no monetary help involved in it, those who were a part of the training session organized by CBSE recently.

The training session was for principals of lead schools to train them ways to exchange best practices so as to effectively implement the programme. The principal of lead school cannot consider himself superior and lead schools will change after a span of two years. As schools have been put up on the basis of needs and requirements without taking note of geographical region, the board plans to reshuffle some of the schools which are far off. The board is likely to conduct another training session in Indore as well in the third week of June for the lead school principals.
