Common Eligibility Test: A Great Initiative to Ease Out Students' Burden

You probably know that the Common Eligibility Test, that is CET, will be implemented from 2022 for all kinds of government jobs. Aditya Patel, Director, The Winners Institute, says that the CET examination will ease out so many things for the students. In India, different government exams occur almost every Sunday in a year. To appear in these different examinations, students are required to fill different forms every time they wish to appear. Now, to solve this problem, the government of India has formed the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) in 2020 which will conduct the CET exam every year.
We all know that over 1 crore students appear for government job exams every year. So, NRA will be conducting the CET in three levels- for 10th, 12th, and graduate students respectively. This exam will occur two times a year for all three levels and a student can appear in both the exams if they wish to improve their scores. Moreover, the scorecard given to the student will be valid for three years. This means that a student can apply for as many government jobs as he wishes within three years and will be given the job if he fits in the set criteria.
However, the NRA CET is only a standard exam that will screen out the eligible students. Once you pass the CET, you would have to appear for separate exams conducted by specific agencies like RRB, SSC, IBPS, etc for various posts. Moreover, the CET exam will be based on a standard syllabus for all the students. Not only this but students will also be having a support system in this exam. A support number will be available publicly for the students to gain information regarding any government job or exam. The best part about the implementation of the CET exam is that it will be conducted in 12 official languages including English and Hindi. This means that now, a student can appear for CET in his preferred language.
The CET exam will also give students the liberty to choose their location and date for the exam. Students faced a major problem traveling and had to manage their time to give various entrance exams. But with the implementation of CET, many problems of the appearing students will dissolve. It will become much easier for students to appear for government job examinations.
