‘#SwachhSurvekshan2020Indore’ a hashtag for all Indoris to tweet, share and trend it up!

The Indore Municipal Commissioner IAS Asheesh Singh recently posted on twitter an appeal for all the Indoris to tweet with the hashtag #SwachhSurvekshan2020Indore requesting for maximum participation from the citizens. In the final survey, one of the parameters to decide the result for the survekshan would be to check the level of participation from the side of the citizens of the city. With maximum tweets including the hashtag, the surveyors could estimate how actively the citizens of a respective city are involved with the survey and how dedicated they are towards the purpose of maintaining cleanliness and a green environment around them.

Indore is topping the race to win the Swachhta Survekshan for the fourth time consecutively in 2020, after bagging the first spot in both the quarter surveys (between April to June & between July to September). The results announced by the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri did not surprise most Indoris because the combined efforts of the citizens and administration in maintaining the cleanliness are visible throughout the city. The third-quarter results, which shall be announced in March, would decide the final winner for the 2020 Swachhta Survekshan. With this end-goal in mind, the IMC is waiting with baited breaths and striving to make all necessary efforts to achieve it. We Indoris in the past four years has contributed a lot in assisting the IMC to make our city the cleanest in the country. By consciously throwing waste in dustbins, separating bio-degradable and non-biodegradable waste, avoiding the use of plastics poly-bags and single-use plastics we have steadily moved forward in the drive of cleanliness. A small effort from our side would ultimately lead our city to reclaim its title of the cleanest city in the country for the fourth time. The IMC has become the first Municipal Corporation in the country to receive carbon credits and is taking positive actions in bringing about healthy changes for the city’s welfare. It is time for the citizens to responsibly fulfill their part in the survey by marking their involvement and participation known. So all Indoris, log in to your Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram tap your fingers and use the hashtag #SwachhSurvekshan2020Indore and do your part in helping the city shine once again. Because Iss Baar Chauka Lagaenge’!
