The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore has achieved a remarkable milestone in its latest placement season, with 11 students securing annual job offers worth more than ₹1 crore for the first time in the institute’s history. The achievement reflects the growing reputation of IIT Indore as one of India’s leading engineering and research institutions.
According to the institute, over 93% of B.Tech students participating in campus placements have received job offers so far. A total of 270 placement offers have been secured by undergraduate students, while 108 offers have been made to students from master’s programmes.
The placement figures were shared by IIT Indore Director Prof. Suhas Joshi during the institute’s 14th Convocation, where 807 students from undergraduate and postgraduate programmes were awarded degrees.
Beyond placements, the institute highlighted its strong research and innovation ecosystem. Over the years, IIT Indore has published 10,700 research papers, developed 280 technologies, completed 900 sponsored research projects and 730 consultancy projects, while filing more than 275 patents, of which 135 have been granted. The institute also maintains academic collaborations with over 200 institutions across 40 countries, strengthening its global presence.
